A total of 151 test venues have been set up for this year's Shenzhen senior high school entrance exam, or zhongkao, being held today and tomorrow. More than 80,000 students are attending the exam.

Test venues include 10 newly added exam sites in Bao'an, Nanshan, Longgang, Longhua, Guangming and Pingshan districts, according to Shenzhen Special Zone Daily.

A total of 158 exam sites were arranged for the Biology and Geography academic proficiency test for over 110,000 eighth graders, which will be held Wednesday.

Students can enter test venues 60 minutes before the test starts. The academic proficiency test will start at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Exam takers can leave 30 minutes before the test officially ends.

Although traffic pressure on the zhongkao days are not as high as the gaokao, Shenzhen traffic police department has been ready to respond to parents and students seeking help.

Traffic police also arranged motorcycle teams to patrol the areas surrounding exam sites and other key roads. Students who need help can call 8333-3333 for assistance.

The city's weather today is sunny and cloudy, with a chance of thunder and showers in certain areas.

The weather during the academic proficiency test is expected to be muggy, with a yellow title1= for extremely high temperatures. Temporary showers are also expected to occur in certain areas.

Students are advised to keep cool, reserve enough time to arrive early to test sites, and be mindful of food safety issues given the hot temperature.
